GC Fashion Week Reschedule

GC Fashion Week Director Angela Rose -

“After much discussion and some heartache, we have decided to revert to our original vision of cementing GC Fashion Week as a mid-year celebration of all things fashion.

“Initially slated to run in July, we were forced to reschedule for November 1-4 after a trademark dispute could not be resolved prior to the four-day festival.

“As I explained at the time, we were unable to come to a fair agreement to purchase or borrow the ‘Gold Coast Fashion Week’ trademark from a third party we understood had no plans of using it.

“This matter is still unresolved. We are now forced to reschedule the event as efforts have been hindered with regard to this matter, even with the rescheduling of the original date and renaming.”

“We always believed mid year was the best month to host GC Fashion Week and now we have made the call to revert to that plan, we are confident of delivering a showcase that secures the event’s place alongside other major fashion festivals across Australia and indeed the world.

“This decision has not been taken lightly and we look forward to working with all our stakeholders to deliver a GC Fashion Week that will be memorable for designers, models, sponsors, charity partners and attendees alike.

"All pre-purchased tickets will be refunded with all ticket holders offered first access to pre-sale for July 2019 at a 50% discount. We are confirming the final date for GC Fashion Week in July/August 2019 and will bring more details as they emerge.”

“All monies paid will be refunded to partners and designers and you will be offered a package at a heavily discounted rate for 2019."

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
